Local anesthesia

Mohs surgery is typically performed under local anesthesia, ensuring your comfort during the procedure.

Tissue removal and examination

Our surgeon will carefully remove the visible tumor and a thin layer of surrounding tissue. The excised tissue is then processedand examined in our on-site lab, providing immediate feedback on the presence of cancer cells.

Layer-by-layer process

If cancer cells are still present in the examined tissue, another layer is removed, and the process continues until the margins are clear of cancer cells.

Minimal scarring

Mohs surgery's precise nature allows us to preserve healthy tissue, minimizing scarring and optimizing cosmetic results.

Same-day closure

Once the cancer is fully removed, our skilled surgeons will work to close the wound on the same day, ensuring a prompt and efficient recovery. 

Recovery and follow-up

You will receive post-operative care instructions, and our team will schedule follow-up visits to monitor your healing progress.
